  TheCapitolGestalt.com.

While I am not yet completely sure how this website might develop and evolve, I would like to share the observations my friends and family have made regarding the domain name.  Then I will make an announcement about something that I initially thought would be painful and unpleasant, but am discovering is both surprisingly satisfying and, well, actually kind of fun.  Here we go . . .

Peter Colohan loves the name of this site and is POSITIVE that anyone who matters will "get it."

Kaycee Childress believes that almost nobody knows what "gestalt" means, and feels strongly that those few who do will not be able to spell it. This will cause search engine problems.

My father's first reaction was to hum the theme from Hogan's Heroes.

I mostly agree with Peter, though I want to stress that just because a word has Germanic roots does not mean that it has anything to do with the Nazis.  I mostly just like all the cool repp stripes.

This page will be under construction for a few days while I delete all (okay, most) of the juvenile material that gives many people the impression that I am not serious about what I do and just like bright colors and stirring up trouble.

After I do that, there are many Serious. Important. Stoic. Impressive. writing samples that I have uploaded to demonstrate to potential employers, clients and other Washington types that I am Serious. Important. Stoic. Impressive.  After all, I'm 40 now, and as I've recently been reminded . . . I can't shake up the establishment anymore.  I'm 40. I AM the establishment.  It will be interesting to take note of public reaction when I issue my first set of decrees about what I have decided to Establish as included in the Establishment now that I have been named a bona-fide member of it.

I don't like that the section to my left is pink, but there is nothing I can do about it, thank you very much minions of Mr. Gates.   You'll be hearing from the Establishment soon about how it regards PINK mixed in with red, blue, yellow, green, white and black.  Damn kids.

That is all for now.  In the meantime, please ignore everything underneath the nice tie stripes.  It is all imporant, and will be placed SOMEWHERE accordingly.  But right now it will at best confuse you -- and I'm told that some might find the more anti-establishment sections of it quite upsetting. We can't have that. After all, I am not a rebel anymore. I am the Establishment now and must vow to protect and defend it from rebellious smart-aleks like me.   So, yeah. Just concentrate on the colorful stripes.  Powerful, aren't they?
